Experiencing Betrayal?
Many women suffer sexual betrayal, as their husbands or partners are caught up in pornography use, affairs, online chatting, sexual texting, involvement with prostitutes, or other emotional and sexual involvement outside of their committed relationship.
L.I.F.E (Living in Freedom Everyday) Group for Spouses is a support group for women who find themselves betrayed and in need of hope and healing. The group meets weekly and works through Melissa Haas’ workbook, A L.I.F.E. Guide for Spouses (Color House Graphics, 2005). The workbook relies on a Christian perspective, biblical principles, and psychological insights for guidance and growth.
This L.I.F.E. group began in 2008 at North Heights Lutheran Church and is now moving to a new day and new venue here at Minnesota Renewal. Mary Droullard has facilitated this group from its beginning. Mary is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. The group will also be co-facilitated by our intern Kathy Johnson.
The cost of the group includes $25 for the L.I.F.E. workbook, plus a donation to help cover the cost of the program. However, financial hardship that means making a donation is not possible will not disqualify anyone from attending the group.
Now is the time for women to join the group – our fall start date is September 26, 2011. The group opens to new participants about every 8-10 weeks, upon completion of each of the four workbook modules. Women are welcome to contact Mary at any time.
