Our therapists have a variety of private-pay fee arrangements as well as options for coverage through health insurance companies and EAPs. Broadly, health insurers represented by our therapists include:
Aetna
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Cigna/Great West
HealthPartners
Medica
Medical Assistance
Minnesota Care
MN Healthcare
United Behavioral Health
TriWest Healthcare Alliance (military)
Most trade union plans and a number of preferred provider panels
Other insurers may reimburse for services with our therapists on an out-of-network basis, depending upon your plan. Therapy is also reimbursable through HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) arrangements.
Several of our therapists offer sliding scale discounts for clients with lower incomes to ensure that therapy is accessible for all. For specific information on each therapist’s arrangements for insurance, fees and sliding-scale discounts, please click here to see their individual listings.
Questions to ask your insurance provider regarding coverage include:
- Do I have mental health benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
- How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
- How do I obtain reimbursement for therapy with an out-of-network provider?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary-care physician?
